Who: I am an American-Canadian-Chinese currently at Babson College dual concentrating in technology, entrepreneurship and design along with global business management. I have a hard time describing myself - so I launched a survey on various social media platforms and compiled them in a word cloud here.
What: Drawn to the idea of learning and being financially independent; I have always held some sort of job or internship ever since the minimum legal employment age of 14. I’ve worked on projects that span over a variety of industries and positions; from the political sphere (congress/senate/lobbying) to startups in Silicon Valley to Fortune 500 companies.
Where: My intellectual curiosity has led me to different destinations all over the world including Babson’s most competitive study abroad - Russia, India and China in one semester. Babson BRIC: The Cornerstone of the New Global Economy is a semester-long, globally comparative and academically rigorous study abroad experience. Covering over 25% of the world’s land and accounting for more than 40% of the world’s population, are significant driving forces in today’s global marketplace.
Why: I have a natural sense for product creation; the intersection of business and technology along with working in small teams motivate me. Being able to break down ambiguous problems to build a product creation roadmap that has an impactful long term value add is what I strive to bring in my next workplace.
How: Product managers have a vast amount of responsibilities that require an influx of transferable skills. From understanding markets, competition, and users to launching new products - it is crucial to be able to work cross functionally. In the various projects and products below, I include how I apply these transferable skills.
